Biography

Paul was called to the bar in South Africa in 2006 and immigrated to Canada in 2022. Paul has been a litigation lawyer for 16 years with extensive trial, application and appeals experience in the Provincial Courts and Supreme Courts of South Africa.

Paul has litigation experience in Divorce and Family Law, Insurance Law, Trust Law, Commercial and Contractual litigation, Contested Wills, Law of Defamation, Torts, Easement Disputes and Shareholder Disputes to name but a few.

Paul joined Centra Lawyers as an articled student in February 2022.

Paul obtained a BLC degree in 1998 and a LLB degree in 2000 at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Paul also has a higher diploma in Insolvency Law and Labour Law, and he successfully passed the NCA exams of the Federal Law Society of Canada in 2018. Paul is also fluent in Afrikaans.

Paul was the president of a Community Service NPO in South Africa during 2019/2020 and he hopes to get involved in similar organizations in Maple Ridge in 2023.

Paul is married to Rozelle and they have two teenage children. He enjoys the outdoors and sports. He is also an avid pickleball player and enjoys cycling
